The Blue Dot Effect: Why Things Aren’t as Bad as You Think
During a study conducted at Harvard University…
Participants were presented with an array of dots ranging from very blue to very purple. When the frequency of blue dots was kept constant, participants could correctly identify the dots, but when the frequency of blue dots began to decrease to a fraction of what they were before, they now began classifying previously purple dots as being blue. Their concept of blue had changed.
In this video, I discuss how this study could just about explain our outlook on life. I hope you enjoy it.
