AI really surged in popularity towards the end of 2022 with the release of ChatGPT, which could write emails, essays, and even code. However, AI has actually been around for over 60 years, with the earliest ideas of automated machines tracing back to Greek mythology and the tale of Talos. However, that’s a story for another time.
While we won’t venture all the way back to Ancient Greece, in this video, I’ll take you through the past 60 years of AI development, showing how we got to where we are today and exploring what the next 15 years might look like. Will AI transform areas like healthcare and education, bringing us closer to achieving our Sustainable Development Goals? Or will it push us back by replacing the need for more and more jobs?
